OWH + Great Impresssions Blog Hop!

Hello all and welcome to my stop on this fun blog hop! Can you even believe all the cute cards??  I hope you are inspired and that you will make your own card (with whatever products you have) and join in the challenge for this sketch!  You can find the Inlinkz and the rest of the hop info back at the beginning of the hop at OWH Stars & Stamps.

I have three cards to share with you.   The first you have already seen back on the start off page at OWH Stars & Stamps.  I wanted to show how the stamps could be used if you didn’t want to color the image.   And in the close up here, you can see that since my card base is black, I’ve lined the card with some white paper.

For my second card, I wanted to use the circle variation on the sketch, and I wanted to color that cute frog, so this is what I came up with:

I put a little glossy accents on his eyes to make them shiny.  I just love this card, it’s so cheerful, don’t you think? And it’s punny! Haha!

For my third card, I wanted to try watercoloring the frog, and it strays a bit from the sketch – the sentiment is stamped on the inside.  I also tried making it a little more feminine.  Can you see how I did that? Look closely…

I gave her eyelashes with a fine tip black pen! See them? She looks flirty, lol!

Here’s the whole group together along with the stamps themselves…

I hope you’ve enjoyed this stop on the hop today! Sad news, though, you only have one more stop to go!

Wonderful! Eyelashes like that are something my Grandma used to do when she sent cards, I love the look. The Happy Birthday card is fabulous and love the black background, thanks for showing the sideline shot, it highlights the lovely layers. The white frog is still my fav. Thanks for the morning inspiration.

Very cute! I like all three–the non-coloring is a great choice for those of us who can’t quite blend well yet, and the extra mascara on the eyelashes is cute. I really like the bold colors and wide borders on your matting for the green and yellow one. Everything is so bright and happy!!

  28. Marsha D June 3, 2014 at 2:34 PM

Oh, my. These are as cute as can be. Can’t pick a favorite; they are all great.
