Dreaming of You…
Happy Friday, all! I am so looking forward to the weekend – I’ll be spending it at a weekend-long crop with my wonderful friends. So far I have packed cheese, grapes, carrots, coffee, creamer, pajamas, and a ton of cardmaking stuff. That should do it, right?
I have another Hero Arts card to share today that wasn’t quite done in time for the blog skip on Wednesday. This one uses the HA OWH fundraiser set Right at Home and it will be perfect for my next OWH box.
I stamped the kite and cloud onto some retired Stampin’ Up! First Edition collection paper that I’ve been hoarding. I watercolored with Distress Inks and an aqua pen. I just picked bright colors at random, and the clouds are Weathered Wood and Picket Fence. For the Picket Fence I just colored directly on the paper with the marker instead of using the aqua pen.
I love the look of watercolor on text. I have an old worn out paperback book that I sometimes use for stamping on, but the papers from it are too fragile to hold up to watercoloring. This SU! paper is plenty hardy though! The rest of the paper is from my scraps bin.
