Hope Your Birthday is Fantastic
Happy Monday, all!
I’ve been playing around lately with ways to use my envelope punch board and I had the idea of making the tiniest envelope it makes and using it on the front of a card. I went looking through my list of challenge blogs for some inspiration – whenever I am lacking in creativity, I find a challenge always sparks me. I found one at A Blog Named Hero to use vellum, and thought a tiny vellum envelope would be adorable on a card. Vellum is making a come back and I’m quite happy about that, I love the stuff!
Then I found a clean and simple sketch at A.R.T Card Challenges, and that got me to this…
Vellum, sequins, and washi! Could this card be any trendier? LOL! I never really considered myself one to follow trends in papercrafting but I might have to revise my thinking on that one.
I put some sequins on the inside of the envelope, too, which I think looks kinda cool. I used washi to seal the envelope because it’s cute and because everything else pretty much shows through and looks tacky.
And I even put a strip of washi on the inside, which is unusual for me. I usually don’t bother doing anything to the insides of my cards!
And since it’s a birthday card, I’m linking it up over at Seize the Birthday challenges too!
