Top Ten of 2012
I’m joining in the fun over at OWH Stars & Stamps today and posting my favorite ten cards that I made in 2012. I don’t know about everyone else but I found it hard to narrow down to only ten!
In no particular order…. (click on pics to enlarge, click a second time to close)
My Mom’s birthday card. This was my first attempt at this pop up fold and it came out so pretty! And her next birthday is just around the corner so I better come up with something quick, huh?
Purse-onality. I made this one for one of my classes at my local scrapbook studio, The Haughton House. This card marks the first and last time I ever asked my students to measure to the eighth of an inch!
Hero Arts for OWH! I made this Christmas card using the new HA-OWH stamps and I really love how it came out. I had to cut the sentiment stamps up to get the one I wanted! Always a scary moment with the scissors when I cut a stamp up, but it came out just fine.
Casadia! I participated in a fun case-the-card chain this year and this card was the result.
Legos! I made this card for my Lego-crazed 5 year old nephew. And this card is also my most-repinned card on Pinterest!
HA Circle Lace. This card was made as part of my Pinspiring Monday series of cards inspired by pictures from Pinterest. I was thrilled when the folks at Hero Arts saw this card and linked to it on their Twitter feed after I posted it in their Flickr pool!
Cookie Monster! We made a bunch of these and other Sesame Street characters at one of the two OWH cardmaking parties I held this year. This one was particularly exciting because we got some video back from the marines showing one of them picking this card out of the OWH box. Click here to see the video on the OWH YouTube page.
There’s no place like home! I made this watercolored card to demonstrate using the Hero Arts OWH stamps for holiday cards, even if the stamps aren’t specifically for holidays. Making those lights with Liquid Pearls was a labor of love, lol!
XOXO! This fun card was made for a Haughton House class as well. I really fell in love with this Amy Tangerine Sketchbook line of paper.
Sketch #153. I made this card as a sample for my last OWH sketch challenge post on Sunday. I was overwhelmed by all the sweet comments on that post! Y’all really do mean SO MUCH to me!
How fun to look back at all my cards this year! I hope to keep making many more in 2013, so stay tuned, y’all!

I’m a friend of your Aunt in Virginia, she told me about your website, and I just love it. The heart card (Sketch 153) just jumped right out at me, as I am a fan of hearts. Your cards are beautiful and full of inspiration. I love looking at all of them. Thanx for sharing your artistry!
