CASE the Catalog Monday!
Hello, friends, and happy Monday! I have a great card to show you today, as always on Mondays, it is inspired by a project in the current Stampin’ Up! Idea Book & Catalog.
I picked this card on page 64 of the catalog, because I liked the layout of it and because I recently acquired the stamp set they use and I wanted to use it!
Their card is a tall, narrow card, and of course I converted it to an A2 size. I also paper pieced my ballons instead of stamping them directly on the white cardstock. To make up for the additional width, I moved the sentiment to the white space and stamped the little clouds that came with the stamp set (how cute are those?)
And let me explain this picture… I was trying to be clever and take a picture of the card next to the image of the original on my laptop screen. As you can see the picture came out weird, but at least the card is cute!

About this card: The stamped ballons, clouds, and sentiment are all from Stampin’ Up! Up, Up & Away stamp set, and are stamped in Versafine Onyx Black ink. I stamped on scraps of designer paper as well as my white cardstock. I used the same designer papers to make the horizontal strip across the bottom of the white layer, and another scrap of orange plaid to create the vertical banner. The background paper is SU! Patterns Pack.

This card is so cute! I like it better than the catalog version.
