Calmness & Quiet Joy
This week’s OWH Stars & Stamps Midweek Throwdown is the theme “On the Farm.”
I don’t really have any farm stuff, but I do have the Stampin’ Up! set Country Morning – it contains a rooster, that’s as close as I can get. Of course, the rooster stamp has never seen ink, and today it didn’t either. I chose another stamp from that set instead. These flowers look to me like they’d belong on any farmhouse kitchen table.

About this card: The image from SU! Country Morning was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with my Derwent watercolor pencils. I punched the image out with a Marvy/Uchida 2 1/2″ circle punch. I layered it with a pieces of SU! Brocade Blue cardstock cut with a scalloped circle die on my Big Shot and popped it up on dimensionals. The background blue plaid paper is from Jo’s Stash. Peeking out from behind it is a white strip punched with my scallop edge border punch, and on it is the sentiment from the same stamp set. The mat is a generic tan cardstock.
